Fideua is a typical pasta dish in the kitchens around Valencia. It is like the Paella with rice but instead of rice it is prepared with durum-wheat pasta. The origin of the dish is a little village called Gandia and a widespread legend said that this paella was founded by some friends which forgot the rice and instead they used pasta to prepare there dish. The Fideua was born.
